What’s Included When You Book a SUITE with P&O Cruises?

If you’re considering cruising in a Suite onboard a P&O Cruises ship, you’re probably wondering what’s included with your fare. That’s exactly what we’re going to unpack in this post today.

If you find this post useful, please do share my site with anyone that you think may enjoy my content. Please also support me by coming over to YouTube and subscribing to my channel. You can do that right now by searching for ‘Fraser at Sea’ on YouTube, or by clicking here.

Across the P&O Cruises fleet, there’s a wide range of Suite accommodation available. You could be looking at a ‘standard’ Suite, or you could even be looking at a Duplex Suite that’s spread across two floors. Whatever type of Suite you’re looking at, one thing’s clear - you’re going to have a different experience cruising in one of these cabins versus your counterparts in the standard inside/outside/balcony cabins elsewhere on the ship.

What does a Suite look like on a P&O Cruises ship?

Suites onboard a P&O Cruises ship offer an elevated experience when compared to the ‘standard’ cabin grades elsewhere on the ship.

Some Suites offer multiple rooms, while others offer one room separated by curtains to allow for privacy when sharing as a family.

Do all P&O Cruises Suites have balconies?

For the most part, yes. There are a couple of exceptions though, specifically the ‘Family Sea View Suite’ onboard both Arvia and Iona - these suites don’t have a private balcony.

Which P&O Cruises ships have Suites onboard?

You’ll find Suite grade accommodation on every ship in the fleet. You’ll also find Penthouse Suites onboard Aurora, Azura and Ventura, and Family Suites onboard both Azura and Ventura.

What’s the size and capacity of a Suite onboard a P&O Cruises ship?

Suites onboard a P&O Cruises ship vary between 382-937 square feet (including the balcony) - that’s quite a difference, so be sure to check when you’re booking to be sure you know what to expect when you open the door onboard!

The capacity of the largest Suites onboard is up to 4 guests. All of the available options will be shown to you during the booking process. You won’t be shown cabins that aren’t suitable to your requirements that you input during the online search stage.

You’ll find a range of different Suites across the fleet. This ship, Azura, also features Penthouse Suites!

Is a Butler included when you book a Suite with P&O Cruises?

Yes! If you’re booking a fully serviced Suite for your cruise, then you can expect to be met by your onboard Butler. You’ll find the details of how to contact your Butler in your Suite on day one of the cruise.

If you’re wondering what you could ask a Butler to do for you during your cruise, there’s a long list to think about! You could ask them to unpack (or pack) your suitcases for you, they could book spa treatments and make dinner reservations on your behalf, or they could even help you to plan an in-Suite event. That’s right - they can take care of organising a social event in your cabin - talk about stress-free. You now just need to make some friends onboard to invite round at some point…!

You’ll find the contact details for your personal Butler in your Suite throughout your cruise.

What’s the bathroom like in a Suite onboard?

If you’re hoping to enjoy a premium bathroom while you’re onboard, then this might be the answer that you’re looking for. On my recent cruise onboard Azura, I was able to take a look around one of the Suite grade accommodations, and I was really surprised by the bathroom.

The bathroom consisted of two rooms: one with a toilet and sink setup, and another with both a glass shower cubicle and a whirlpool bath. Both of these rooms had a dividing door between them, which allowed for privacy to the occupants of either section. Below, you can find a photo of this Suite bathroom. On their website, P&O Cruises explains that full-size whirlpool baths are standard in most of their Suites, with some exceptions across the fleet. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Here’s the bathroom of a Suite onboard P&O Azura - it even features a full-size whirlpool bath!

So, what else is included?

Ok, it’s quite a long list so bear with me. Here’s the list of additional points that I’ve not covered above…

  • Free room service

  • Daily breakfast in a premium restaurant (during my recent cruise on Azura, this was served at the Epicurean)

  • Priority check-in and boarding on embarkation day (if you’re cruising from Southampton)

  • Canapes on embarkation day and Celebration Nights

  • Champagne and Chocolates on arrival on Day 1

  • Fruit basket (if requested)

  • Pillow menu

  • Atlas and Binoculars

One additional benefit of booking a Suite with P&O Cruises that I really enjoyed was a White Company gift. In all of the cabins onboard, you’ll find toiletries by the White Company, which really does elevate the experience. They’re such great quality, and a really nice luxury to have in even the basic cabins throughout the ship.

Those cruising in a Suite can look forward to arriving to a gift like in the below image.

Those staying in a Suite onboard will receive a personal gift by The White Company.

In addition to these Suite-exclusive benefits, you’ll also have access to the below amenities, all of which come as standard to any cabin onboard a P&O Cruises cruise ship.

  • Daily Steward service

  • Free in-cabin TV, including a range of channels

  • Hair dryer and safe

  • Tea and Coffee making facilities (there’s a kettle like the ‘standard’ cabins, but also a coffee machine in Suites)

  • Air conditioning

  • Telephone (it’s free to use this to call around the ship, but it’s expensive to use to call ashore!).

What about the balcony?

There are a range of different Suite balcony formats across the P&O Cruises fleet, so be sure to check what you’re booking to prevent being met by something unexpected on embarkation day.

That’s it! That’s an overview of everything that’s included when you book a Suite onboard a cruise ship in the P&O Cruises fleet.

I hope you’ve found this post useful. If you have, I’ve got so much more to tell you about both here on this website and also over on YouTube. Why not come and check out the below YouTube video next, where I show you what it’s like to take a cruise onboard Arvia, the largest ship in the fleet?!
